Welcome back to our second edition of Whirlpools Rotations! Our ecosystem has been thriving with activity over the past two weeks, and we can’t wait to explore the ocean ahead of us in Rotation #2! 🐳
Our roll-out of concentrated liquidity pools continues apace this Rotation, with a wave of fresh Whirlpools and our first ever Triple-Dip pools…

🌊 Whirlpools Rotation #2 🌀
- Duration: Thursday May 5th, 2022 — Thursday May 19th, 2022
- Total Rewards: The rewards are detailed below for each Whirlpool with total rewards of ~125K ORCA across all pools (for details on the future of ORCA rewards, read our recent post here). All Whirlpools are now open and rewards will begin on May 5th at ~23:00 UTC. Aquafarms rewards will go into effect at ~20:00 UTC on May 5th.
- Events: We have several events during this rotation. We’ll be hosting an AMA with Stepn (Friday) and Nova (next Friday). And keep an eye out for a new podcast with Ori and the Phantom team!
Triple-Dip pools
This Rotation, we open our first ever triple-reward pools! LPs can earn three different token rewards plus trading fees in Triple-Dip pools.
(Triple-rewards are only possible in Whirlpools due to advances made at the smart-contract level, so if you hear “Triple-Dip pool” in future, you’ll know it’s a Whirlpool. 😉)
Making the initial dive into this new area of our ecosystem are two liquid staked SOL solutions, Marinade, Lido, and Terra (UST)!

- Marinade rewards: 51,616 MNDE per week
- Terra rewards: 35 wLUNA per week
- Orca rewards: 4,000 ORCA per week

- Lido rewards: 5,000 LDO per week

Aquafarms
As we continue our transition towards Whirlpools, the following are highlighted changes for this rotation:
- ORCA/SOL rewards have been reduced and will move to zero during the next rotation.
- ORCA/USDC on Whirlpools will continue to earn ORCA rewards. All other ORCA pairs will be reduced to zero rewards.
- ETH/USDC and BTC/USDC Aquafarms have been migrated to Whirlpools and rewards will continue on the Whirlpools pairs.
Double-Dip pools (Standard)
#1: ZIG/USDC from the Zignaly team!
- Double-Dip duration: May 5th, 2022 — July 28th, 2022
- Rewards: 1,200,000 ZIG (+ ORCA rewards)
#2: SAMO/USDC from the Samoyedcoin team!
- SAMO/USDC has been deployed as a Whirlpool and the standard pool will continue at half rewards until a full migration to Whirlpools on May 19th.
- Double-Dip duration: May 5th, 2022 — May 19th, 2022
- Rewards: 4,000,000 SAMO (+ ORCA rewards)
#3: sRLY/SOL & TAKI/sRLY from the Rally Network Association
Important announcement and migration!
Rewards for sRLY/SOL will end this rotation and restart in a freshly deployed pool during the next rotation on May 19th. The same process will occur for TAKI/sRLY.
All funds are safe, but the RLY Network Association has provided an update for users and will provide additional details on conducting this migration:
“We were notified of a critical vulnerability in its Solana Canonical Swap Program. The Canonical Swap instances with mint authority over sRLY were paused as soon as the vulnerability was reported to ensure the vulnerability could not be exploited. The non-upgradable nature of the Canonical Swap program and this instances irrevocable ownership of mint authority over sRLY mean the current versions of this program and the sRLY token must now be deprecated. RLY Network Association will redeploy a new canonical RLY Token on Solana and begin a migration of all supported functionality to this new token. No other uses or transfers of sRLY will be impacted by this migration; the token and all associated liquidity will function as it always has.” — RLY Network Association
Next steps:
- RLY Network Association will provide an interface for users to one way swap their existing sRLY(v2) to the new sRLY(v3). Orca will share the details for our podmates when they are available.
- All pools that utilize sRLY(v2) will be deprecated and will relaunch with the same token pairs using sRLY(v3). The Association will continue to provide sRLY(v3) liquidity incentive rewards.
