Orca is thrilled to announce that it is live on Eclipse mainnet as Eclipse’s primary DEX. This marks a monumental step forward for both Orca and the broader Solana & Ethereum ecosystems.
Visit https://orca.so/?chainId=eclipse to explore liquidity pools, swap tokens, and more as part of this early release.
On Eclipse, Orca offers deep liquidity pools for key pairings like ETH/USDC, tETH/USDC, SOL/USDC, tETH/ETH, and more. Orca’s permissionless pool creation also means that you can create a liquidity position for any token pair you’d like (including the latest memecoins!).
Currently, Eclipse Mainnet is open for developers, but will be open to everyone in the coming months.
What you need to know about trading & providing liquidity on Eclipse
- Eclipse’s gas token is ETH.
- There are currently three bridging options for Eclipse.
- On Orca, you can switch to Eclipse using the dropdown in the top right corner.
- Currently, only Backpack wallet supports Eclipse mainnet.
- Details about Orca’s implementation on Eclipse are available in the Orca documentation.
What is Eclipse?
Built to scale Ethereum, Eclipse is an L2 that settles to Ethereum, uses the Solana Virtual Machine (SVM) for execution of their smart contracts, and uses Celestia as a data availability provider.
Eclipse is described as “Ethereum’s fastest L2”, combining Solana’s speed with Ethereum’s liquidity. The high throughput, low latency, and tiny transaction costs of the SVM enable trading and liquidity provision strategies that have historically not been possible on EVM chains.
We expect a lot of Ethereum users to bridge to Eclipse and try out Solana apps for the first time. We hope that many of these users’ first experiences of swapping and providing liquidity on a Solana app will take place on Orca on Eclipse! For more details on why Orca is building on Eclipse, read our first Medium article Orca Set to Launch on Eclipse.
What is Orca?
Orca is an advanced DeFi protocol on Solana built around a Concentrated Liquidity Automated Market Maker (CLMM). Orca’s simple and intuitive UX caters to beginner, advanced and professional users, making it the go-to choice for anyone looking to engage in DeFi on Solana (and now Eclipse!).
